Visiting Dublin
My second visit in Ireland took place in Dublin.
Dublin is a city that I wanted to visit for a long time: any French coming to Ireland has to see the Irish capital. Nice and lively, you can’t get bored there!
And from a student point of view, I was more particularly interested in visiting the famous Trinity College…
1) How easy to find?
The simplest way to go to Dublin when you’re not from Ireland is to take the train, no chance to get lost!
From Limerick, it takes about 2.30 hours to get to the capital. Then, the luas is situated just next to the railway station, so that you can go anywhere in the city very easily.
2) How good value for money?
The only thing that costed me some money was the railway ticket!
Apart from that, the luas is affordable. If you go for some shopping, there’s not a huge difference in the prices.
As for Trinity College, you can visit the campus and the Old Library thanks to a student-guided walking Tour. That will cost you 10€ per person.
3) Interesting?
Visiting this famous university, and learn about its history was very interesting, and the place was very pleasant.
4) Fun?
Walking in Dublin’s streets and going shopping there, was really fun. Nevertheless, I think that it would be necessary to stay a few days in the capital to have time to visit more, make some activities, and go out by night!
5) Where to eat?
Anywhere! There’s a huge choice of restaurants, cafés, fast foods, at all prices!
6) Would you recommend to your French friends?
Of course! Dublin is a lively city where you can do all sorts of things! I would also recommend them to go at Dundrum Shopping Centre, where there are not only a lot’s of stores, but also a cinema and a theatre!
7) Smoothies friendly
If you go to Dublin, you’ll be able to find our Wild Orchard smoothies in many stores.
